PPWR is now in force Regulation (EU) 2025/40 Applies 12 August 2026

EU packaging compliance for Shopify stores, computed from your real orders.

Every parcel shipped into Europe now carries registration and declaration duties, with no small-seller exemption. Fines reach €200,000 in Germany and marketplaces delist non-compliant sellers. We turn your orders into the per-country, per-material declarations each national scheme demands, including upload-ready LUCID XML for Germany and the official UK RPD format.

Try it free: analyze your shipments in two minutes

  1. Upload your Shopify order export (CSV). Customer data is discarded on sight
  2. Describe your packaging once (guided, with typical weights pre-filled)
  3. See every EU country you owe declarations in, with one full report free

Shopify Admin > Orders > Export > "Export orders" (CSV). 15 MB max.

Which one? Shopify stores filing more than once should take the app: it stays synced, costs less over a filing year than repeated packs, and produces the upload-ready register files. The pack suits one-off filings and non-Shopify platforms. All prices you see here are in euros; the app simply follows your Shopify billing currency if it is not the euro.

What non-compliance actually costs

There is no EU-wide cap. Each country enforces its own packaging law with its own penalty scale, and the marketplaces enforce on top: Amazon and others suspend listings when registration proof is missing.

CountryPenalties under national law
GermanyUp to €100,000 for missing LUCID registration, up to €200,000 for selling without dual-system participation, plus a sales ban (details)
SpainUp to €100,000 for minor infractions such as late or incorrect declarations, up to €600,000 for operating without registration (details)
FranceUp to €30,000 for missing registry entries, up to €7,500 per product unit for certain breaches, and marketplace suspension without an IDU (details)

Frequently asked

Does this apply to small stores?
Yes. PPWR has no small-seller exemption, and several countries have no minimum threshold at all (Norway removed its last one in 2025). A handful keep low floors, like Malta around 100 kg of packaging per year.

Is this legal advice or a filing service?
Neither. We compute the numbers and produce the files; you or your representative register and submit. Every report says exactly how its numbers were produced.

What do you store?
Per order: date, destination country, item count. Customer names, emails, and addresses are never written to our systems. Full details in the privacy policy.

Which countries have ready-made filing files?
Germany (official LUCID XML) and the UK (official RPD CSV) are upload-ready. France and Italy get structured declaration data in CITEO's and CONAI's categories. All 30 EPR destinations get full reports and register links.

PPWR Compliance.com prepares the numbers for your filing. It is not legal advice, and it does not register you with national schemes. Registration (e.g. LUCID in Germany) is a one-time step you do directly with the register. Our reports tell you which registers apply to you.
