What French EPR packaging penalties actually look like

France enforces packaging EPR through the AGEC law framework, and the exposure comes in three forms:

Administrative fines up to €30,000 for missing registration or inaccurate registry information.
Up to €7,500 per affected product unit for certain EPR breaches. Per unit is what makes this one dangerous: at e-commerce volumes it dwarfs the flat fines.
Marketplace suspension. Every producer needs an IDU (Identifiant Unique) issued via their scheme. Marketplaces like Amazon France check it, and a missing IDU means suspended listings, immediately and without a fine needed.

Staying clear of it
